Chins Gourmet

Wow... just wow. I can’t say enough good things about my recent visit to Chin’s Gourmet. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile and a friendly welcome that instantly set the tone for an incredible dining experience. I started with the cream cheese wontons, and let me tell you, these were the best I’ve ever had. Perfectly crispy, golden brown on the outside, with a rich and creamy filling that was absolutely addictive. They were so good, I almost didn’t want to share! Then came the main courses: sweet and sour pork and sweet and sour chicken. Both dishes were absolutely on point. The pork was tender and juicy, with that beautiful balance of tangy sweetness and just the right amount of sauce. The chicken was equally impressive. Crisp on the outside, tender on the inside, and perfectly coated in that signature sauce. Each bite was a delightful explosion of flavor. I also ordered the chop suey, and it was equally amazing. Fresh, vibrant vegetables, perfectly cooked, and mixed with a savory sauce that tied everything together beautifully. Every bite tasted fresh and perfectly seasoned. Beyond the incredible food, the service at Chin’s Gourmet was top-notch. The staff was genuinely friendly, attentive, and made sure our table had everything we needed. Our drinks refilled, plates cleared, and they checked in to make sure we were happy. They put in 100% effort to make sure we had an excellent experience. This is definitely one of those restaurants you remember and can’t wait to come back to. From the delicious dishes to the exceptional service, Chin’s Gourmet has earned a well-deserved five-star review from me. Highly recommended! Don’t miss this place! Typically, when we eat or dine at Asian restaurants, it usually is on Convoy Street. However, sometimes you can have a hidden gem somewhere else. One such Chinese restaurant is Chins Gourmet, which is located in El Cajon, California. Chins has a wonderful selection of Chinese food on their menu. The restaurant is spacious, and there are several seating areas. It is beautifully decorated. We have dined with them before, and the food has always been delicious. I a. Especially fond of the noodle soups. The food was delicious tonight, and the dishes we ordered were great. The portions are large, and they are easily sharable. Even the noodle soup I had for dinner this evening was large and full of pork ribs and noodles. It's great when the restaurant staff remembers you from your previous visits. This happened tonight, and we haven't been there for several months. They are very friendly and helpful. They can help you with recommendations if you need help. The staff members are also very friendly. Overall, we were very satisfied with our dinner and dessert. The staff are all so kind. Each time we have dined with them, we have had a wonderful experience.

My favourite go-to for Chinese food in SD. They're recipes for the basics are so yummy. They're lunch menu is tasty and quick. The wait staff are very friendly and helpful when deciding between food choices.

Our first time here, and we definitely will be back. The dining room is very relaxing (even counting the very loud gentleman at the next table) and service was great. Nice variety of dishes. My husband had a seafood dish just full of shrimp and scallops and my egg foo dish was very good. I added chicken and it came with veggies and a nice sauce. A great "date night" place.

This is my 3rd time here. The food was delicious and the ambiance was great. We got to meet the owner himself who took our order & recommended some dishes and hooked us up with a beef dish (forgot what's the name). The imperial soup is to go to, packed with flavors & minced ingredients of shrimp, chicken, crabmeat, water chestnuts & mushrooms in a light egg flower broth. Everything is delicious.

Our second time here, and this is definitely is now our favorite place for Chinese food. The dining room is set up nice. Great for date night. We went for a late lunch for Valentines Day. Service is attentive and friendly. The food is really good. I've now had the egg food young, and today had the honey walnut shrimp. This has been a favorite dish for me since I had it in a small Chinese community along the Sacramento River years ago. Today's dish was even better than what I had then. My husband has raved about his food also.

Absolutely stellar experience at this Chinese restaurant! From the moment we walked in, the service was outstanding. Our waitress was not only efficient but also delightfully funny and kind, adding a personal touch to our dining experience. The ambiance was impeccable – clean, classy, and fancy, creating the perfect setting for a memorable meal. As for the food, it exceeded all expectations! I even sent my neighbor, who used to work at the prestigious Marine Room in La Jolla, and he wholeheartedly agreed that the meat was of excellent quality. Without a doubt, this restaurant earns a solid 5 stars in every aspect. Highly recommended!

It's difficult to find delicious Chinese food that's reasonably priced, that's not Panda Express-like, or PFChangs-like. This place has delicious food, lovely service people, and a real restaurant environment. Even real table cloths, lol. I took my mom here for Mother's Day. She loved it. Plus, they gave all Mother's a 10 gift certificate. It was nice, and there was great customer service.
